EDUCATIONAL CONTENT AND CURRICULUM SPECIFICS

Challenge 1:
Helping students learn new ways to add up, without using their fingers. Represent and solve simple addition and subtraction problems.
Challenge 2:
Understanding addition and subtraction, using a range of strategies including counting on, partitioning and rearranging parts.
Challenge 3:
Tell time to the half-hour. Reading the time on analogue and digital clocks and observing the characteristics of half-hour times.
Challenge 4:
Counting by naming numbers in sequence up to 12 and connecting number names, numerals and quantities. Understanding two-digit numbers are comprised of tens and ones units.
Challenge 5:
Helping students learn how to read the time to the half-hour on analogue and digital clocks and observing the characteristics of half-hour times.
Challenge 6:
Learning basic multiplication by using addition. This game is a very simple way for students to be introduced to basic multiplication.
Challenge 7:
Recognise and name familiar two-dimensional shapes and three-dimensional objects. Teaching students names of shapes such as circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, spheres, cubes, cylinders, pyramids and cones.
Challenge 8:
Helping students to identify features of two-dimensional shapes and three-dimensional objects. Focusing on geometric features and describing shapes and objects using everyday words such as corners, edges and faces.
Challenge 9:
Helping students learn partitioning of numbers and the importance of grouping in tens. It teaches students, two-digit numbers as comprised of tens and ones.
